Private Counselling
Hello, I'm Derellanne (she/her). Whether you're a young person trying to make sense of the world, a parent navigating family challenges, or an adult looking to reconnect with your sense of self, you're welcome here.
I'm a BACP-registered therapist, and my approach is relational and trauma-informed, rooted in safety, connection, and seeing the human first.
Who this is for
Young people (12+) trying to make sense of big feelings, identity, or what's going on around them
Adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, relationship difficulties or life transitions
Anyone who feels stuck, disconnected from themselves, or like they're carrying more than they can name
How I work
I offer a warm, inclusive, non-judgemental space to explore whatever feels heavy, complicated or unclear. Sessions are shaped by your pace and your goals, and may include a blend of talking therapy, reflective coaching techniques and creative tools, whatever feels right for you or your child.
This isn't about fixing or rushing change. It's about gently exploring what's happening beneath the surface, and supporting emotional regulation over time.
Getting started
I offer a free 30-minute initial session, space to connect, talk about what's brought you here, and work out together whether I'm the right person to support you. No pressure, just a chance to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.
Sessions after that are £70, with online and in-person options across West Sussex.
I hold professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate for my work with children and young people.
